Unken - a place with atmosphere

Unken is a place with atmosphere and personality. A small town, but one of the nicest valleys - the Heutal. Here the blooming meadows smell sweet and the peaceful hiking up here is always a pleasure. The village itself is never boring. The generous leisure center with heated outdoor / indoor swimming pool, sauna are surely to draw you back over and over again.

Unken is situated in the Salzburg Saalachtal valley near the Bavarian-Austrian border, in the midst of a beautiful mountain world.

Unken is the central starting point for innumerable hiking and mountain bike tours, excursions to Salzburg and into the Berchtesgadener land with many places of interest. Ideal location for paddling on the Saalach.

Sports and Leisure

The camping site is approx. 150 meters from the Saalach (starting place for paddlers and boaters) and also accessible on foot. The Mozart's cycle track (Tauernradweg) as well as the Jakobsweg go past directly by the camping site.

Well maintained walking, hiking routes and mountain trails are available for the amateur and professional sportsman.
Also a worthwhile visit to the Alpinebad Unken with its heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as the large sunbathing area and the beautiful sauna area.

Domestic pets allowed.
All parking spaces dispose of a central electricity connection.
Starting point for boat lovers on the Saalach is approx. 150m away.

How to get there

Freeway A 8, departure Siegsdorf - (B 306 Hammer-Wagenau, B 305 Weißbach - Schneitzlreuth - Zell am See - approx. 200 m after the state border (free transit) turn right after Unken and you can already see on your left the camping site (3 possible driveways).

Find a free place for yourself, settle down and then register in the farmhouse.
